Approved Continuing Education
*Please refer to the Administrative Rules (R3-11-402) to be sure that the CE you plan to take will be approved! We encourage you not to register for a course until you determine if it will be accepted for CE credit! Remember that you may be selected for a random audit of your CE, so you must keep certificates of completion of the courses!
At all times (not just during COVID-19 related issues) ALL CE may be obtained online as long as it is interactive and is offered by one of the approved sources (i.e. RACE, AzVMA, SAVMA, AAHA, AAVSB, a veterinary college, a veterinary technician program (for CVTs only) or specifically approved by the Arizona Veterinary Medical Examining Board).
CE Waiver Request: Per A.A.C. R3-11-405, a licensee or certificate holder seeking a waiver from the CE requirements for renewal are required to submit a written request to the Board by December 10, 2022 which contains the individual's name and explanation of the reason for the request. The Board shall consider the following in determining whether to grant a waiver from the CE requirements: (1) illness or disability; (2) military service or absence from the U.S.; or (3) any other circumstance demonstrated by the licensee or certificate holder to be beyond the licensee's or certificate holder's control. (Keep in mind that at all times, all CE can be completed online if it is interactive and falls into one of the approved provider categories (see above)).
CE Waiver requests should be sent to: [email protected] or mailed to the Board office: 1740 W. Adams St., Suite 4600, Phoenix, AZ, 85006.
The link below does not include courses that are considered approved per the Administrative Rules (e.g. "RACE" approved CE). Courses approved by RACE can be found on the American Association of Veterinary State Boards' website.
