Many licensed veterinarians provide equine dental care. If a person is not an Arizona licensed veterinarian, he/she may register with the State as an Equine Dental Practitioner. That person must be certified by the International Association of Equine Dentistry or the Academy of Equine Dentistry and be under the general or direct supervision* of an Arizona licensed veterinarian, depending on the service being performed.
