Unlicensed Practitioners

The Board has the authority to investigate complaints and information relating to the alleged practice of veterinary medicine by an unlicensed individual.  The listing below notes individuals who the Board has verified to be unlicensed practitioners and/or who may have been impersonating a veterinary professional.  The document(s) below provide detailed information.

Who gets a license or certificate wallet card?

Registered Equine Dental Practitioners

Many licensed veterinarians provide equine dental care. If a person is not an Arizona licensed veterinarian, he/she may register with the State as an Equine Dental Practitioner. That person must be certified by the International Association of Equine Dentistry or the Academy of Equine Dentistry and be under the general or direct supervision* of an Arizona licensed veterinarian, depending on the service being performed.
