Welcome
We at the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board welcome you to view our site and browse through your areas of interest.
Attention Licensees and Certificate Holders: All licenses/certificates that were not renewed by 1/31/25 have lapsed. However, you may continue to use the Board's online license renewal system to complete the process, although a late penalty fee will be charged. If you are a veterinarian, you should refrain from providing veterinary services until the license is reinstated. All CE was required to be completed by 12/31/24; however, the Board granted an extension to 1/31/25. If you still have not completed your required CE, please contact [email protected]. The link to the online license/certificate renewal system can be found on the Renewal page.

On May 8, 2023, Governor Hobbs signed SB1053, which allows a VCPR to be established by electronic means in many circumstances and if certain requirements are met. This does not apply to animals used in commercial food production. The primary change is related to the ability to establish a VCPR by audio/visual means when certain requirements are met. See the News tab for more information.
ATTENTION POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS: New graduates who have not passed the NAVLE are NOT eligible for provisional licenses and may NOT provide services required of a veterinarian! Please see additional information on the "Licensing" page.
